The client
Geberit is a Swiss multinational group specialising in manufacturing and supplying sanitary parts and related plumbing systems. It is a leader in its field with a global presence through its subsidiaries, including its UK head office in Warwickshire. The company trains over 100,000 plumbers and decision-makers a year at its 25 training centres around the world or at external training courses.
Geberit has experienced year-on-year double digit growth and in a relatively short period; has become the brand leader in its chosen markets. The Geberit brand is synonymous with luxury and quality. Through the acquisition of the Sanitec Group, which included Twyford bathrooms, the company is now the market leader in sanitary products and can offer design-led bathroom products in front of the wall and technically led installation systems behind the wall. With the 2017 launch of Geberit Ceramics, Geberit now has a range of bathroom products that covers all sectors; from economy and basic entry-level to premium and exclusive.
For the majority of new vacancies, Geberit require candidates with strong interpersonal skills, who can build relationships with senior managers and stakeholders. Since there is a lot of face to face work with both sales teams and a variety of different customers, the ability to be able to talk confidently about large product ranges is a must.
The relationship
Geberit have worked with Heathcote Recruitment Group (formerly ESA Group) for a variety of roles in the last two years. Following Geberit’s significant acquisition of the Sanitec Group, we were invited to pitch and tender to deliver a major project across the product and marketing teams.
We successfully won the tender and went on to complete a significant recruitment assignment, working closely with the Product Director, Marketing Director and Head of HR. This included search for the following roles: Product Manager, Trade Marketing Executive, Senior Marketing Manager, Market Analyst, Marketing Assistant, Consumer Marketing Executive and Junior Product Manager. On each occasion, our specialist consultants provided a thorough face-to-face candidate screening service, and submitted a refined shortlist of candidates to Geberit for the hiring managers to review. Interviews were arranged following an in-depth client briefing.
